apulia, circa mid 4th century b.c.
Globular in form with a flat base and funnel-shaped lip, two arching handles on either side, and two modeled hands in between, with brown-painted ornament on the upper surface of the lip and the body, including bands framing pairs of curving lines on the lip and horizontal bands on the shoulders framing a wavy line, the handle zone with metopes of horizontal bands framing a leafy spray, three horizontal bands below, four dot rosettes on the hands and lines on the fingers, and lines outlining the handles
