TWO MESOPOTAMIAN AMULETS
late uruk/jemdet nasr period, circa 3100-2900 b.c.
Both in the form of a reclining bull, one of pale green calcite, with small drilled eyes, its horns curving forward on its head, the underside with two quadrupeds; the other larger in form, of a whitish calcite, with dark inlaid eyes, the underside with five monkeys; both drilled vertically
