TEN NEAR EASTERN CYLINDER SEALS
circa early 3rd-mid 2nd millennium b.c.
Including two Jemdet Nasr seals, one of brown calcite engraved with two seated figures raising their arms; and one of red steatite with two ibexes in profile to the right, hatching above; a Syrian red steatite seal with two standing figures, an ibex and a bird; a Syrian gray steatite seal with four standing figures within a frame, two inverted; a Syrian gray steatite pendant seal with diamonds and drilled holes on the cylinder, cross-hatching on the base; a Neo-Sumerian black steatite seal with edged zig-zag, birds above and below; an Uruk black steatite seal with a row of quadrupeds; and three Early Dynastic I seals, one white marble with rows of hatching, with beads at the center; one of white steatite with hatching; and one of marble with a guilloche pattern
