A Victorian inkstand,
of plain rectangular form on four pad feet, divided into two lengthway compartments with double lidded cover, one compartment fitted with two inkwells and with two hinged side handles, each lid engraved with a coat of arms*, by James Garrard, 1888 - 26.5cm long, 77oz.
* The arms are those of Archibald Philip, fifth Earl of Rosebery.
