Lot Essay

The armorials appear to be those of a Count and Knight of Malta, possibly Spanish. The narrow braid on the breeches and waistcoat bears only the husband's arms, whilst the coat has the husband's and the wife's arms impaled. The breeches and waistcoat are inscribed with the footman's name Landozzi and the previous wearer Borglai crossed out
