Collation as previous lot. 184 leaves (of 192, lacking Aa6 [title and table] and without blanks D4 and bb8), fos. l1 and t1 supplied from another copy and extended at margins; Description bound before Chronicle. 44 lines and headline, double column. Type: 90B. Large woodcut of city within a landscape, 24 other woodcut illustrations, 10 woodcut diagrams, two De Worde devices [McKerrow 1b and 19], ornamental and lombard initials. (Neat repaired tear into text in 6 leaves, very small holes in 2 leaves, small marginal repairs in 8 leaves, headline of t1 supplied in pen-and-ink, few scribbles, some staining and spotting.) Purple morocco panelled in gilt and blind, spine lettered in gilt, gilt edges, signed by Sangorski and Sutcliffe. Provenance: references to popes and St. Thomas à Becket erased.

Seventh edition, the third printed by De Worde. As the previous lot, quire D in the present copy appears to require only 4 leaves, of which the last is blank. STC 10000.5.
