2 volumes bound in one, 2° (274 x 190mm). Printed in blue and black. Woodcut title borders, illustrations and initials by R.J. Beedham and E. Joyce Francis. Tan crushed morocco gilt by Kiernan, 1960, the upper and lower covers each decorated with 7 'starburst' designs, composed of triangular inlays in alternating black and multi-coloured segments radiating from a gilt circle and terminating in alternating black and multi-coloured inlaid discs, the segments divided by gilt lines, the spine divided into 6 compartments, titled in gilt in 2 and dated at the foot, 2 compartments decorated with circles of inlaid red and black and brown and black morocco discs, turn-ins tooled in gilt, top edge gilt, others uncut (slight cracking on upper joint), lined, marbled-paper covered box.
