Tan crushed morocco gilt by Kiernan, 1960, the upper and lower covers each decorated with 7 'starburst' designs, composed of triangular inlays in alternating black and multi-coloured segments radiating from a gilt circle and terminating in alternating black and multi-coloured inlaid discs, the segments divided by gilt lines, the spine divided into 6 compartments, titled in gilt in 2 and dated at the foot, 2 compartments decorated with circles of inlaid red and black and brown and black morocco discs, turn-ins tooled in gilt, top edge gilt, others uncut (slight cracking on upper joint), lined, marbled-paper covered box.
