A Swiss pewter tureen, late 18th/early 19th century
of oval bombé form, repoussé decorated with rocaille ornament, with pierced twin handles to the sides below the urn-shaped finial to the domed cover, the interior with indistinct maker's touch marks -- 14½in. (37cm.) wide; and a Continental pewter salver, 19th century of oval form, with indistinct maker's touch mark to the underside and the wriggled owner's initials P.O.M.S.
