A carved mahogany torchere, late 19th century
In the Chippendale style, with a circular dished top on knopped column with trailing flowers, foliage and reeded tripod splayed legs with foliate carved knees, terminating in scroll feet
43in. (112cm.) high, 14in. (35.5cm.) diameter, the base -- 22in. (56cm.) wide

Sir Harold Wernher, 3rd Bt., G.C.V.O. (1893-1973), Luton Hoo, Bedfordshire, in the Lower Corridor, and by descent.
