opening to reveal a sewing set, comprising: nine mother-of-pearl topped cotton reels, a thimble, a scent bottle, a ruler, a penknife, a bodkin, a pair of scissors, a stiletto, a retractable pencil and two needle cases, the lower section containing a small quantity of oddments, probably English, mid-19th century - length of case 28 cms.
