A Brace Of Continental Hunting Hangers, A Sporting Dagger, A Folding Lock-Knife, A Carved Bone Dagger And Scabbard, And A Toledo Dagger Blade
The fourth signed W. Stacy, 33 Newgate St., each 19th Century
The hangers with tapering double-edged fullered blades (one with some pitting), silvered mounts including short quillons with dog-head tips, and fluted dark horn grips, in original leather-covered scabbards (one with some flaking) with silvered mounts cast and chased with sporting trophies and oak trails on a punched ground (silvering worn throughout); the third with tapering double-edged blade and ebony hilt with iron and silver mounts, in leather scabbard; the fourth with pivoting white metal quillons, chequered ivory grips, and leather scabbard (one grip chipped, locking catch defective); the fifth carved throughout with portrait busts and martial trophies in relief (some defects); the last etched on each side and dated '1859'
