With swamped barrels each inscribed 'Nan' on the sighting flat, chiselled at the breech, and with counterfeit maker's stamp (one tang screw missing), engraved flat bevelled locks (one mainspring broken), full stocks covered in gilt-metal panels (minor losses) decorated with pellets and scrollwork in relief, muzzle sleeves en suite, gilt-metal mounts cast and chased in relief, and false ramrods, the butts bound with silver wire
