With sighted barrel (pitted), signed flat lock (cock associated) stamped inside with the maker's mark of Joseph & William Sherwood, figured beech stock (bruised, cracked, fore-end tip repaired) drilled through for an iron peg mount (missing) and stamped 'IV.C.R.' (for Fourth Class Reserve) on the butt, mixed regulation brass mounts, and later iron ramrod, London proof marks, the barrel and stock each stamped with two Ordnance obsolete/sale marks: with later wooden stand
