The first late 18th Century, the second early 19th Century
The first with two-stage barrel turned at the muzzle, rounded lock (cock and steel associated), walnut half-stock, iron mounts, and later iron ramrod; the second with blued swamped octagonal barrel with gold-damascened band at the muzzle (worn), and engraved and gilt decoration at the breech, flat bevelled lock, walnut full stock, chequered butt, iron mounts, and later ramrod, St. Etienne proof
