A 30-Bore Flintlock Duelling Pistol

With swamped twist octagonal sighted barrel retaining faint traces of the signature and engraved with a band of beadwork at the rear of the breech, platinum-lined touch-hole (lining a working replacement), engraved tang, signed flat bevelled lock with stepped tail and retained by two side-nails, figured walnut full stock carved with a shell in relief behind the barrel tang, chequered flat-sided butt with a dot in the centre of each diamond, engraved iron mounts including trigger-guard with acorn finial, and horn-tipped ramrod (in worn condition throughout), London proof marks, barrelsmith's mark IT crowned
