A 22-Bore Turkish Flintlock Holster Pistol In Crocodile Leg Holster, And Two Iron-Mounted Sabres
Late 18th/early 19th Century
The first with spurious inscriptions on the barrel and lock, the former also with counterfeit proof marks, lightly carved walnut full stock, and brass mounts; the second of Light Cavalry 1796 Pattern, the scabbard signed 'Woolley & Co, Birm.m.' (surface rust); the third probably Turkish, with curved watered blade with etched and gilt decoration over half its length on both sides, iron Mameluke hilt (loose), ivory grip-scales (one incomplete), and original iron scabbard
