(37 x 29.5cm.), signed J.Russell & Sons photographers Southsea in pencil on image, mounted on thin card with ink title Royal Research Ship "Discovery", all mounted on thick card., the larger mount bearing 14 signatures.
A fine 'portrait' of the vessel purpose-built for Scott's first antarctic expedition, by photographers well known for their maritime work. The signatures are of the members of the 1925-1927 expedition led by Commander J.R.Stenhouse.
