Lot Essay

After Abraham Mignon's Still Life in the Ward collection in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford (inv. no. A580). We are grateful to Mr. Fred Meijer of the RKD for confirming the attribution, and for noting the connection to the Ashmolean Still Life; he will mention this picture in his forthcoming catalogue of the Ward collection.
