For the 1923 season, Buick substantially improved their models styling, with domed front and rear wings, and more rounded coachwork, equipped with scuttle mounted side lights and drum headlights, in keeping with the new design a new radiator grille also debuted, which would remain a feature of Buick cars for four years. In this year Buick would see its one millionth car built, as production for the model year increased by 60 percent over 1922, to exceed 180,000 units, and a modified model Sports Roadster Six was timed 108.24mph on a run at Muroc dry lake in California.

In this year, the six cylinder cars continued to be offered in two wheelbase lengths, 118 and 124 inches, the car on offer being one of the latter, with well-proportioned Two Door Coupe coachwork that allowed seating for four persons. This configuration, designated the model 48, was one of the most expensive of the fifteen variants sold, at $1895, and accounted for under six per cent of production.

This example is presented in good and restored order, and concurs to model specification with the exception of Westinghouse shock absorbers which have been fitted at some time, presumably early on in its life. The model 48 was not sold for export, so it can be assumed that it was either a private export to Europe, or as is more likely arrived many years later, from its registration number it clearly spent some time in France.

The Buick has been stored since acquisition in France in 1991, however it is reported by the vendor to be in running order.
