Lot Essay

Private Finlay McKenzie enlisted in the 93rd Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in 1854 and arrived in the Crimea in the following year, where he was employed in the operations before Sebastopol. Next engaged in the Indian Mutiny, he was killed in action in the Lucknow oeprations of November 1857.
