Lot Essay

Private James Foley enlisted in the 17th Duke of Cambridge's Own Lancers in 1875 and served with them at the Battle of Ulundi in the Zulu War of 1879. He was still serving with the Regiment when he died at Mhow in India on 3.6.1882.
