Lot Essay

Private Cecil Augustus Honour, a pre-War scholar who attended Holy Trinity School, Richmond, was killed in action on 14.11.1916, while serving in the 13th Battalion, Rifle Brigade in an attack on Beaumont-Hamel. Aged just 21 years, he had enlisted in September 1914 and landed in France on 29.7.1915. Honour is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
