DOULTON of Burslem (manufacturer). A tea-cup and saucer cup height: 2½in. (6.2cm.); saucer diameter 5½in. (14cm.), both with transfer-printed '"Discovery" Antarctic Expedition 1901' logo in dark blue, the cup with gilt rim and highlight to the handle and dark blue band on the exterior surface of the cup just below the rim, green transfer-printed 'Doulton Burslem England' mark to base, the saucer with gilt rim and matching dark blue band on the interior surface of the saucer just below the rim, base with impressed 'Doulton' and '9.00' marks in addition to green transfer-print mark (crack to saucer, and handle of cup).
