Lot Essay

Pederson was born in Copenhagen. He is said to have spent twelve years travelling in Asia and was probably present at the Delhi Durbar of 1903 where he painted a portrait of the Viceroy, Lord Curzon. The Taj Mahal was one of Pederson's favourite subjects.
