Lot Essay

Probably Alice Helen Loch (1840-1932) who lived at Bishopsgate, Englefield Green. Her sister Emily was Lady in Waiting to Princess Christian of Schlewig Holstein, daughter of H.L.M. Queen Victoria. There are two fans painted by her in The Royal Collection.
