Of George III style, the base late 19th century
Crossbanded overall in tulipwood, the segmental top banded to the front edge in satinbirch and with radiating panels issuing from a fan motif inlaid to the rear edge, above a panelled frieze decorated with floral swags, on anthemion-headed square tapering legs decorated with husk trails, block feet, the reverse with label with indistinct inscription 'Edin...', the top of later date and warped, the feet later
