An assorted lot of Chinese blue and white 'Vung Tau Cargo' porcelain
Circa 1690
Comprising a gu-shaped vase with spreading base, spirally moulded and painted with lotus stems, 18.5cm. high; two blue and white flaring deep bowls, each painted with a floral medallion and around the exterior with various scrolling floral meanders, one bowl decorated with phoenix, the rims brown dressed, 15cm. diam.; and four jarlets and covers, each spirally moulded and painted with seven lobed panels of aster stems below a zigzag-pattern border around the shoulder, the domed covers with knop finial, 16.5cm. high (small crack and rim restorations to beaker) (8)
