Rectangular and fitted with small silver side rings for two red cords which enwrap the cover, enamelled on the cover in high relief with a white sixteen-petal imperial chrysanthemum and green leaves on a pale grey ground which continue on the sides of lid, outlines of the chrysanthemum petals and veins of the leaves in silver wire, the exterior of the lower section of the box also pale grey and the interiors of both sections moss-green enamel; rims silver
