Cast as a Chinese lion, the left paw resting on a reticulated 'brocade' ball and playfully holding a cord in the mouth, the details of the hair and the cord finely chiselled and the eyes patinated in shakudo, a small rectangular section of the back detachable to allow access to the hollow interior
