Vishnu as the cosmic boar Varaha prevents the earth from flooding, shown as a goddess in diminutive form at his left elbow, by rescuing her from the sea serpents upon whom he is trampling, their bodies intertwined, while he holds on to his attributes, with rounded mandorla flanked by two apsaras above
