Eastern Tibet, 18th Century
One depicting Avalokiteshvara in flowing robes seated on a throne in rajalila pose, his right hand extended in varada mudra, flanked by attendants on his right and left sides, Maitreya sitting on the lower left, performing varada and vitarka mudra, Nivarana-Vishkambhin sitting in a meditative pose to the right, all against a Chinese style landscape; the other depicting Kshitigarbha seated on a throne in rajalilasana, his right hand holding the base of flowers in a vase, his left foot supported on a lotus base, Akashagarbha sitting on a throne to the lower left, while Samantabhadra is seated on the lower right, also on a throne, holding a vase with lotus
