Provenance
Christie's, New York, 20 March 1997, lot 12, The Jingguantang Collection, Part II.

Lot Essay

The present lot appears to be quite rare with its combination of elegant freestanding cabriole legs and rectangular top. In the more common model the top is round and the feet rest on a circular continuous base stretcher or a solid base.
