Well carved in high relief below the lip with a single chilong and with three others at the opposite end, two flanking the bifurcated handle as they peer over the rim, the third crawling across it, the interior subtley carved with eight facets, the base carved with a square seal, Hong Ren, and a four-character date mark, Hongzhi Shi Nian, the tenth year of the reign of Hongzhi, corresponding to 1498, of dark honey color
