The top cast in low relief with a central lotus blossom encircled by lotus scroll repeated as a frieze on the sides of the box below the plain narrow rim and domed inner rim, all reserved on a stippled ground, the base cast with a four-character Zhu Chenming zhi mark within a cartouche; together with a mountain-form brushrest, Ming dynasty, of elongated form with multiple peaks and dark patina
