Mid 19th century
In lighter and darker hues, the kings with three pierced petalled balconies, the queens with two pierced petalled balconies, the royals and bishop with painted faces, all pieces on pierced circular bases (one bishop with chipped finial)
King -- 55/8in. (14.2cm.); pawn -- 3in.(7.6cm.) high
