[LINCOLN, Abraham]. A piece of black wool felt, reportedly cut from the coat worn by President Lincoln on the night of the assassination, 14 April 1865. Approx. 40 x 55 mm. Accompanied by a short note in a contemporary hand stating that the sample had been the gift of Robert Todd, a relative of Mrs. Lincoln.
