A FEDERAL INLAID MAHOGANY SHELF CLOCK
Dial signed by Aaron Willard (1783-1864), Boston, circa 1810
In two parts: the upper with rectangular top surmounted by pierced fretwork centering a fluted plinth above a conforming case with glazed door revealing a white-painted dial face with Roman and Arabic chapter rings centering the inscription A. Willard/Boston surrounded by gilt flourishes over a box base, on ogee bracket feet supported by a shelf with tapering pendant base
