A Viennese enamel and ebony table cabinet, late 19th century
Of stepped rectangular outline raised on scroll feet, the waisted cover with timepiece, the white enamel Roman dial with Arabic five minutes and stellar minute markers, with subsidiary rings to the centre for calendar, age of moon, day of week, and seconds (hands replaced, one lacking, the single chain fusee movement with verge escapement and pierced and engraved balance cock, the backplate inscribed Breguet a Paris, within a cushioned circular case, the border with amorini in a woodland, supported to the underside by a female figure in Roman dress and flanked by two angels, the waisted cover with frieze drawer and four scantily clad mermaids to the angles with dished stands above (one lacking), the case with composite columns to the angles flanking enamel panels depicting partialy draped figures in landscapes, the front with twin doors to the interior of six drawers all with further panels, with pierced gilt metal borders overall, the feet with stylised dolphin head masks

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate on the Friday following the sale and every weekday from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE TO PURCHASERS WHO COLLECT THEIR LOTS WITHIN ONE WEEK OF THE SALE.
On the Thursday one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.20 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
