A carved hardwood and stained beechwood four poster bed, 19th century
Composed of William IV carved hardwood posts possible Colonial, 19th century Italian, the canapy in two parts, with ovolu cornice and gouge overlapping ornament and C-scroll frieze with winged grotesque masks to the corners, raised on spirally reeded and foliate columns, with acorn and lotus reeded ornament, the higher end with armorial shield surmounted by a coronet and framed by foliate scrolls and beasts, the footend with cabochon medallion inscribed SIVIS PACEM PARA BELLUM, with scroll cartouche flanked by beasts, scrolls and panel below with similar masks, on reeded tapering legs, the side rails with winged helmetted grotesque masks and beasts centred by foliate carved panels

No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 17.5% will be added to the buyer's premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis.
All lots sold not cleared by 1.00p.m. on the Thursday following the sale will be removed to the warehouse of:

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate on the Friday following the sale and every weekday from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE TO PURCHASERS WHO COLLECT THEIR LOTS WITHIN ONE WEEK OF THE SALE.
On the Thursday one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.20 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
