                                A bottle of identical form, but without the decoration seen here, is in the National Museum in Tehran, attributed to early Islamic Syria (Kordmahini, Helen A.: Glass from the Bazargan Collection, Tehran 1994, p.61).  Two further very similar examples are in the Metropolitan Museum, New York (Jenkins, Marilyn D.: "Islamic Glass, a Brief History", Bulletin of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Vol.XLIV, No.2, Fall 1986, pp.14-15).
