A Staffordshire pottery octagonal nursery plate
printed in black with a quarter-length portrait of Victoria, below a crown, inscribed, the border moulded with geometric flowerheads and swags, circa 1837 (haircrack to rim, minor chips) -- 17cm. diam.; a J.Carr & Co. 1851 Exhibition pottery plate printed in blue with a sculpture of a crouching woman holding a child, titled Massacre of The Innocents, within a border moulded with flowers, impressed mark -- 18.5cm diam.
