The above shirt was worn by Sam Cox, in the match against France played on 16th May 1951, at Hampden Park Glasgow, the match ending a 1-0 victory for Scotland

Samuel Cox made a total of 24 International appearances for his Country, he joined Rangers in May 1946 as a professional, after spells as an amateur with with Queen's Park, Third Lanark and Dundee. He won a total of four League Championships with Rangers, 1947, 1949, 1950 and 1953: he also won three Scottish Cup winners medals, 1948, 1949, 1950 and was a Scottish Football Cup winner in 1949 (3)
