a fine khmer, angkor vat style, sandstone head of buddhamuchalinda

The head is carved with serene expression, linked ridged eyebrows above almond-shaped eyes, broad nose, smiling lips, partly elongated earlobes, crown carved with bands of geometric and floral motifs, conical-shaped usnisha, the snake canopy behind with it's heads well-carved, their necks with scales and cakras, the backside with broad central scaled snake skin flanked by smaller ones
