Vase form, on square pedestal base with chased paterae medallions, with beaded borders and two acanthus scroll handles, the spout with ivory spigot, the domed cover with acorn finial, the body engraved with a coat-of-arms, crest and motto, marked on bezel of heater base, and interior of heater chamber; the cover with maker's mark A.L, probably an unrecorded mark for Augustin Le Sage
