The dial with silvered chapter ring and interlaced strapwork spandrels, the center incorporating a calender aperture, seconds dial, phase-of-the-moon arch and a concentric alarm disc with an automation of a girl in a swing above; the movement with anchor escapement, Dutch striking and alarm, within an arched hood with pierced scrollwork frieze, the sides with pierced sounding panels surmounted by three giltwood figures representing Fame and Atlas, the case with central panelled door with a cartouche-form aperture centering a figure of Father Time within a rocaille surround, the bombé base inlaid with a flower-filled basket, on later claw-and-ball feet
