Album of approximately 130 albumen prints, sizes from approx. 6¼ x 8 in. or the reverse to approx. 9½ x 13 in. or the reverse, one two-part panorama, 75/8 x 19 in., mounted on card, a few titled and/or signed in the negatives, some numbered in pencil in margins, brown leather, titled Foreign Photographs. in gilt, 22 x 153/8 in.

Lot Essay

Large travel album mainly containing views of Italy, including Rome, Naples, Venice, Florence, Pisa and Capri, with a few views of Madrid, Seville and Granada and some art reproductions. Mostly architectural subjects but including one interesting portrait of a Brother of the Archconfraternity of the Misericordia. These Brothers had a duty to care for the sick.
