Portfolio of six photogravures, 7¾ x 97/8 in. to 10¼ x 7¾ in., mounted on card, brown card wrappers with 4½ x 5¾ in. print by Lambert mounted on front cover and titled Pictures from the Tyng Collection, Royal Photographic Society in gilt on cover, 20¼ x 14¼ in.

Lot Essay

This portfolio was the first published by The Royal Photographic Society in June 1931. It was produced in honour of the Stephen H. Tyng Foundation and was available for purchase by The Society's members. It includes Bewengungs Studie (Study of Movement) by Prof. Rudolf Koppitz, St Malo by Arthur W. Burgess, A Russian Boy by Alexander Leventon, Mrs. Violet Gordon Woodhouse at the Harpsichord by Herbert Lambert, Groote Kerke Veere by John H. Anderson, and Muriel Evans by Arthur F. Kales.
