A NORTH-WEST PERSIAN BRONZE SWORD AND SCABBARD
CIRCA 8TH CENTURY B.C.
The sword with ribbed knobbed pommel, the long tapering blade with mid-rib, and a bronze scabbard (in two sections) terminating in a long tapering curl; and another bronze sword with ribbed 'ear' pommel, square-sectioned grip and long tapering blade, pommel chipped and repaired, circa 10th-9th Century B.C.
