AN APULIAN RED-FIGURE EPICHYSIS AND JUG

The epichysis with moulded faces applied either side of handle at base of spout, the body with central profile female head to right within a surround of elaborate foliate tendrils and sprays with buds, palmette beneath handle; and a jug with double strap handle with Herakles knot, everted rim with laurel frieze below, the body with naked winged Eros carrying casket and fan, palmette below the handle, wave frieze below the scene, repaired at rim
