AN EGYPTIAN 'AMARNA' BLUE GLAZED COMPOSITION GRAPE BUNCH ARCHITECTURAL ORNAMENT
NEW KINGDOM, DYNASTY XVIII (1550-1327 B.C.)
With right-angled recess at the back, pierced twice for attachment to a beam, 25/8 in. (6.6 cm.) high; a New Kingdom cream glazed composition rosette inlay ornamented with a white eight-petalled rosette on a grey background, pierced in the centre, Dynasty XX (1186-1070 B.C.), 1¼ in. (3 cm.) diam.; and a blue glazed composition inlay of a khepresh or 'Blue Crown' decorated with dotted circles, with mount, Ptolemaic, circa 3rd-1st Century B.C., 2¾ x 23/8 in. (7.1 x 6.1 cm.) (3)
